Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our small family run Italian restaurant.

This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service. As the driving force behind our kitchen, you will inspire creativity, maintain high standards, and foster a positive environment that motivates the team to deliver outstanding our quality food.

Your leadership will directly influence our reputation for excellence and innovation in food service.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently
Manage food safety protocols rigorously, maintaining compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
Develop and implement innovative menu ideas while ensuring consistency in food presentation and taste
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen efficiency
Train team members on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, safety procedures, and hospitality best practices

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a talent for team management and motivating staff
Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
Experience managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and cost management
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
Passion for delivering exceptional food experiences while maintaining high standards of hospitality
