Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Grantham office to join our commercial team to support the expansion of our business operations following recent successful contract wins. This role involves maximising business growth and profitability by managing contract/project budgets, tracking expenses, forecast sales trends. The ideal candidate will understand business economics, pricing strategies, and P&L (Profit & Loss) management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Manage contract/project budgets, track expenses, forecast sales trends, and protect overall profit margins.
Identify potential commercial risks and implement strategies to mitigate financial and contractual exposure.
Implementation of the agreed commercial strategies based on business targets to support and promote business growth.
To manage the Accounts System to ensure all invoices, applications for payment are processed in a timely manner.
To liaise with Contract Managers helping to conclude payments and resolve issues.
Draft and review contracts and favourable commercial terms while mitigating organisational risk.

Experience:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to secure profitable deals and resolve disputes.
Ability to interpret data, evaluate market trends, and make informed, strategic decisions.
Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
AAT 2 / AAT 3.
2-3 years of accounting and/or Commercial experience.
Full UK driving license.
