Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of the Preschool playroom.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for fostering a safe, engaging learning environment compliant with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while working within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead, supervise and mentor staff.
Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and guidance.
Ensure healthy and safety stanmdards are met.
Esnure the preschoolers well-being and developmental needs are met.
Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play.
Structure the daily routines, manage resources and track childrens progress
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, and identify any concerns.
Communicate developmental updates and build trusting relationships with parents/carers.
Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and child protection policies.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promoted diversity and encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among children.

Requirements

Management and leadership experience
Demonstrated experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments.
Strong understanding of the EYFS.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are preferred.
Passionate about nurturing young children's growth and learning in a safe environment.
Organised, reliable and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Having your own transport is essential.
