Full job description

We are excited to be opening a new retail butchery later this year and are looking for a skilled and reliable Retail Butcher to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who is passionate about quality produce and wants to be part of a new shop from the very beginning.

Working Hours:

Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Serving customers at the butchery counter with a professional and friendly approach
Carrying out daily meat preparation, cutting, and product presentation
Ensuring displays are well-stocked, attractive, and meet high standards
Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties within the department
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the butchery section
Providing excellent customer service and product advice

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a butchery role
Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
Good communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards
