Are you passionate about delivering excellent early years education with an emphasis on outdoor learning?

The Treehouse Club is an award-winning Forest Nursery chain, priding ourselves on delivering high levels of education, concentrating on child and team wellbeing, and creating amazing adventures for children and team members.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery In Room Deputy Manager for Maternity Cover with a view to a permanent position to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of child development. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and creating a nurturing environment for children.

Working 4 days a week 7.30am to 6.30pm

Deputy Manager Duties

Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education.
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes children's learning and development.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, as well as staff performance.
Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
Organise staff training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.
Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including budgeting, resource management, and maintaining a safe environment.
Collaborate with external agencies to support children with additional needs.

Deputy Manager Experience

Previous experience in a managerial or senior role within a nursery or early years setting is essential.
A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 or above).
Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.
