As a Bank Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting colleagues, patients, and visitors by helping our services run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

Depending on your experience, skills, and the department you work in, your responsibilities may include:

Providing high-quality administrative support to clinical and non-clinical teams across Royal Papworth Hospital.
Acting as a first point of contact for patients, visitors, staff, and external organisations, responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Managing diaries, arranging meetings, booking rooms, and coordinating virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms.
Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting papers, and other documentation.
Maintaining accurate electronic records and updating Trust systems in line with NHS and Trust policies.
Using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other digital systems.
Supporting service improvement initiatives, audits, data collection, and report preparation.
Organising and prioritising workloads to meet the needs of busy departments and services.
Assisting with patient administration processes, appointments, referrals, and clinic coordination where appropriate.
Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with information governance, data protection, and Trust standards.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of outstanding patient care and excellent patient experience.

Ideally have knowledge of administrative systems and processes.

Must have GCSE passes in both English & Maths.

Experience

A range of work procedures and practices, predominantly routine.

Good keyboard skills including experience of using a range of Microsoft.

Office Applications Inc. Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Good administrative skills.

Experience of supporting projects.

Able to store and manage data to produce reports and information useful for analysis and tracking progress to ensure effectiveness.

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be able to problem solve and use own initiative in prioritising own workload.
