Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dental nursing within a professional healthcare environment. The role is paid, providing valuable training and development for individuals interested in pursuing a career in dental care and nursing. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the dental team in daily operations.

Duties

Assisting dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Providing support to patients, including explaining procedures and offering reassurance
Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining organisational standards
Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment
Supporting administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
Learning and adhering to infection control protocols and health regulations
Developing skills in patient care, communication, and basic dental procedures under supervision

Qualifications

Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare nursing
Good command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
Organised with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
IT literacy, including familiarity with computer systems for record keeping and communication
Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a busy clinical environment
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to professional development
