Job Summary

We are a small family run business seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team and deliver exceptional service in installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across residential homes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable gas and water systems. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of plumbing and gas-related tasks with precision, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain gas appliances, boilers, pipes, and water systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and gas systems to identify issues before they escalate
Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment
Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely to facilitate installation or repairs
Troubleshoot mechanical problems using your mechanical knowledge to determine the root cause of issues
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or equipment to job sites
Document work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or Plumber with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and gas safety regulations
Proficiency in use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing and gas appliances
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for driving duties
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent attention to detail
Physical stamina for active work environments involving climbing, kneeling, or working in confined spaces
