Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and motivated general farm worker to join our team on a busy dairy and beef farm in South Devon.

We milk a 600 cow spring calving grazing herd, with all our heifer replacements bred on farm. We also rear our beef stock through to finishing, providing a varied role across both dairy and beef enterprises.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical farm work and is keen to gain experience across a range of farming activities.

Responsibilities - Your duties will include

Young stock care
Tractor and machinery work - including routine feeding, scraping and bedding.
Some milking - 54 point rotary parlour installed 2023.
General livestock handling and husbandry.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the farm.

About You

Previous farming experience with the right attitude and willingness to work as part of our team.

The successful candidate will:

Have a genuine interest in farming and livestock.
Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
Have a positive attitude and be willing to get stuck into all aspects of farm work.
Have good attention to animal welfare and care.
Have tractor experience.
Be able to provide previous work references.
Have a full UK drivers licence.
