Hours: A range of different contracts to allow flexibility

Holiday: 28 days (pro-rata) including public holidays

Salary: £13.70 per hour rising to £14.26 per hour on achievement of SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 6) qualification in Health & Social Care

Areas covered: Care in the communnity at Soirbheas: Glenurquhart and Strathglass

Sponsorship: Not considered for this vacancy

To succeed in the role of Sunflower Home Care Worker you will need the following qualities and skills:

Experience of caring/support work for others would be useful, not necessarily in a paid role – you may have looked after an elderly relative or friend. More important though is your caring nature, your belief in teamwork and your ability to follow instructions and use your initiative and imagination when appropriate. You’ll be comfortable talking to, and working with, people from different professions, you’re great at keeping records, too.
SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this.
Full Driving Licence and a vehicle to use.
Compassionate and caring.
Dedicated and passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives.

Mileage is paid at a rate of £0.45 per mile from nominated base or home (whichever is shorter) to first visit and return for last visit of day.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and each will be assessed on receipt. You will then be notified if you have been shortlisted for interview or not within 2-3 weeks.
