Full job description

Finance Administrator

Location: Rusthall Lodge Care Home
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) £12.92 to £14.00
Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week (We are flexible on rota)
Reporting to: Finance Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll help ensure the smooth running of the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the care home.

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing purchase ledger invoices and maintaining supplier accounts.
Setting up new suppliers and verifying bank details.
Managing the finance inbox and responding to supplier, resident and staff queries.
Ordering goods and supplies for the care home.
Reviewing supplier pricing to achieve best value.
Administering residents' personal allowance accounts.
Processing company credit card transactions and petty cash.
Preparing supplier payments and reconciling supplier statements.
Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.
Maintaining budget monitoring spreadsheets and producing financial reports.
Keeping accurate records using Sage and CoolCare.
Supporting annual audits and maintaining finance records in line with company policies.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure continuity of service.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Good Excel and IT skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Previous finance administration or accounts experience.
Experience using Sage and/or CoolCare.
