Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your enthusiasm and craftsmanship will contribute to creating visually appealing environments across various construction projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete work efficiently and safely
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate tasks and clarify project requirements
Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve smooth, even coatings on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces
Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and organizing tools and supplies
Conduct routine inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met before project completion

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles demonstrating proficiency in surface preparation and finishing techniques
Valid driving license preferred for transportation between multiple job sites
Strong communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting, decorating, and construction environments
Ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately
Prior experience with wallpaper installation or decorative finishes is advantageous but not mandatory
