Creative Avenues Performing Arts is a friendly, inclusive and growing performing arts school providing high-quality dance, singing and drama training for children and young people across Flintshire and Wrexham.

About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Singing Teacher to join our team in Mold from September 2026.
The successful candidate will teach singing to students aged 7–17 on Tuesday evenings between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Students are divided into appropriate age groups and rotate between singing, dancing and drama as part of their weekly performing arts training.
You will be responsible for delivering enjoyable and engaging sessions that develop students’ vocal technique, musicality, confidence and performance skills. You will also help prepare students for performances, showcases and other opportunities throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate singing sessions.
- Teach students between the ages of 7 and 17 with varying levels of experience.
- Develop students’ vocal technique, including breathing, projection, diction, pitching and harmony.
- Select suitable musical-theatre and contemporary repertoire.
- Help students develop confidence, creativity and stage presence.
- Prepare students for shows, showcases and other performances.
- Adapt teaching to meet different ages, abilities and learning needs.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour appropriately and ensure students remain engaged.
- Work collaboratively with our dance and drama teachers and the wider Creative Avenues team.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have relevant professional, teaching or performance experience in singing, musical theatre or vocal coaching.
- Be confident teaching groups of children and young people.
- Have a good understanding of healthy vocal technique.
- Be able to make sessions energetic, enjoyable and accessible.
- Be enthusiastic, approachable and encouraging.
- Be reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Be willing to contribute ideas for performances and future projects.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to complete the required safeguarding checks.
A relevant qualification in singing, music, musical theatre, performing arts or education would be beneficial, although practical teaching and industry experience will also be considered.
