The Role
As a Business Development Associate, you will support the preparation of high-quality clinical packaging and distribution proposals, working closely with Business Development Executives and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, right-first-time solutions for our customers.
This is primarily a remote position, with a preference for candidates located within reasonable travelling distance of our Bridgend office, as attendance on site is expected approximately once per month.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather the information required for customer proposals.
Review Request for Quote (RFQ) documentation, interpret clinical trial strategies, and calculate material quantities for production.
Prepare accurate project costings and assign costs to quoted services within proposals.
Develop, draft, revise, and manage customer proposals and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and customers to resolve proposal-related queries and support successful project delivery.
Lead internal meetings and customer discussions regarding proposals, revisions, and change orders where required.
Act as the liaison between Business Development and Project Management to ensure a smooth transition of awarded projects.
Develop project timelines for inclusion in customer proposals.
Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactively gather information, ask questions, and collaborate with colleagues to support continuous improvement.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Maintain compliance with PCI, cGMP, GCP, and all applicable company policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as required by your manager.
Requirements
Essential:
Associate's degree in a related field and/or 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with full professional proficiency in English.
Ability to interpret information, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a structured environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, collaborative approach with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
Preferred:
Experience working in a clinical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environment.
Knowledge of PCI, cGMP, and GCP requirements.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
