Job Summary

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Apprentice! This exciting role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge while working in a nurturing environment dedicated to supporting children's growth and development. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners, gaining hands-on experience in delivering high-quality childcare and early education. This paid apprenticeship is designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in childcare, combining practical work with structured training to help you achieve your Level 3 qualification.

Duties

Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s developmental milestones
Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a positive environment
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming setting by following health and safety procedures
Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff for ongoing development planning
Support management in daily operational tasks and contribute to team meetings and training sessions

Requirements

Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with young children are key
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Basic understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed
Willingness to undertake training towards achieving Level 3 Childcare qualification (apprenticeship program)
Valid driving license is advantageous for roles requiring travel between settings or parent meetings
Management skills are beneficial for supporting daily routines and contributing to the overall running of the nursery
