MIG Welder Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate MIG welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal components.
Perform stick welding as required for specific projects.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
Conduct quality checks on welds to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively in the fabrication process.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project specifications.

Skills

Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a solid understanding of stick welding as an additional skill.
Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in working with sheet metal.
Ability to assemble, weld, and fabricate components accurately.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
Experience using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
