Job Overview

Please note * this advert is for a new and upcoming car workshop located in Beverley, the start date would be approximately 10/8/26.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are committed to delivering high-quality service. The position involves working with various tools and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs effectively.
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Assist with the assembly of vehicle components during repairs or rebuilds.
Perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or equipment safely
Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues accurately
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance routines
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

hourly wages are dependant on experience and can be negotiable for the right candidate.
