Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Experienced Tailor / Seamstress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, fitting, and alteration skills, ensuring every piece meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your passion for textiles and precision will help clients look and feel their best, making this an exciting opportunity for someone eager to showcase their tailoring expertise in a vibrant environment. Duties

Measure clients accurately to determine the best fit and alterations needed
Sew, alter, and repair clothing items with precision, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
Customize garments according to client specifications, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adding embellishments
Inspect finished products for quality control, checking for consistent stitching and proper fit
Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all sewing tools and materials properly stored
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on garment adjustments
Keep detailed records of alterations performed for each client to ensure consistency and repeatability

Skills

Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Excellent sewing skills using various techniques and sewing machines
Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction
Ability to interpret patterns and technical drawings accurately
Exceptional attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination
Good communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
