Tempo, 20 Grenfell Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1EH, is a prominent, modern commercial office development located in the heart of Maidenhead, just a short walk from Maidenhead railway station.
The building provides a high-quality working environment with contemporary office accommodation and a range of modern occupier amenities. Features include a striking double-height reception, biophilic entrance, rooftop terrace, multipurpose pavilion and club lounge, as well as modern shower and changing facilities, secure cycle storage, café facilities and four passenger lifts.
Tempo is a substantial commercial development, providing an exciting and technically demanding environment for an experienced facilities engineer. The site requires a high standard of engineering maintenance, customer service, compliance and operational performance.

The Role – Working Electrical Supervisor
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Working Electrical Supervisor to take responsibility for supporting the day-to-day engineering operation at Tempo.
This is a hands-on supervisory position, combining electrical engineering duties with the leadership and coordination of the on-site engineering team.
You will work closely with the site management team, client representatives, contractors and building occupiers to ensure all planned preventative maintenance, reactive works and engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
The successful candidate will be technically strong, organised and confident working in a busy commercial environment, with the ability to lead by example while remaining hands-on.

08:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
- Supervising and supporting the on-site engineering team.
- Acting as a hands-on technical lead and providing guidance to other engineers.
- Responding to client, tenant and site management requests.
- Managing and maintaining the site's preventative maintenance programme.
- Delivering landlord services and full PPM across the building.
- Ensuring all electrical systems and building services are maintained to a high standard.
- Issuing and managing permits to work where required.
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors working on site.
- Ensuring subcontractor works are completed safely, correctly and within agreed timescales.
- Closing out completed PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Supporting the site team with fault finding and technical problem solving.
- Ordering materials and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring documentation is completed correctly.
- Supporting compliance, health & safety and environmental requirements across the site.
- Assisting with emergency response and building issues when required.
- Working closely with the Site Manager and wider facilities management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the building.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- 3–5 years' experience within commercial Facilities Maintenance – essential.
- Strong electrical knowledge and proven practical experience – essential.
- Experience working within a commercial office or similar high-specification environment.
- Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Experience with electrical fault finding and diagnosis.
- Previous supervisory, team-lead or senior engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.
