Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping assistant to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel premises here at Forss House Hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within a professional environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficient service delivery
Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to uphold organisational standards
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise workflow
Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training, and performance evaluations

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Prior janitorial experience is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate team members
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by hotel operations
