Job Overview

Join our team as a Post Office Counter Clerk! In this dynamic role, you'll provide exceptional customer service, handle mail and various transactions, and ensure smooth daily operations at the counter. Your enthusiasm and organisational skills will help create a welcoming environment for all customers while maintaining efficient office procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and proactively assist with a varied amount of services e.g banking & postal.
Process transactions accurately using computer/ till system
Organise mail and packages efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter and shop area to promote a professional and welcoming environment

Skills

Previous post office clerk experience or similar experience is not essential but preferred
Proficiency in computer/ till skills
Previous customer service experience is essential
Ability to multitask effectively
Must have a clear CRB check
Must be willing to cover- holidays, sickness and busy periods

The hours are currently based on a 2 week rolling rotation-

Week 1 - Friday (10am-5pm) & Saturday (10am-1:30pm)

Week 2- Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
