Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and experience using various accounting software programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the organisation’s financial processes. The position offers flexible hours to suit a variety of schedules and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Assist with payroll processing and other financial reporting tasks
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare financial reports as required by management
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or reviews

Experience

Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities effectively
Previous experience in small to medium-sized organisations is advantageous
Ability to use initiative.
