Location: Stratford-upon-Avon & surrounding areas
Salary: £15.00 per hour / approximately £24,960 per annum
Hours: 32 hours per week
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Sunday
Shift Pattern: 4 x 8-hour shifts
Job Type: Permanent
We are looking for a hands-on, organised and guest-focused Serviced Accommodation Manager to join our growing team.
This is a varied operational role combining guest management, property management and hands-on housekeeping support across our portfolio of serviced accommodation and holiday let properties.
This is not a purely office-based management position.
You will spend part of your time managing the guest experience and day-to-day property operations, and part of your time working alongside our housekeeping team to ensure properties are cleaned, prepared and presented to the standard we expect.
While we have a dedicated housekeeping team, there will be occasions when operational requirements mean you will be expected to clean and prepare properties yourself, whether that's supporting the team during particularly busy changeover days, covering absence or helping get a property ready ahead of an arrival.
The role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable responding to an Airbnb guest, inspecting a property and rolling their sleeves up to help clean an apartment when needed.
Your Working Week
This is a 32-hour-per-week position, working four fixed 8-hour shifts:
Monday | Tuesday | Friday | Sunday
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour
Based on the contracted 32 hours per week, this is equivalent to approximately £24,960 gross per annum.
These working days have been structured around the operational requirements of our serviced accommodation portfolio, so applicants should be comfortable with the fixed working pattern, including Sundays, before applying.
Guest Experience & Airbnb Management
A key part of your role will be ensuring our guests have a smooth experience from arrival through to departure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing guest communications across Airbnb, Booking.com and other booking channels
- Responding to guest questions and requests
- Supporting guests with check-in and property access
- Resolving issues that arise during a guest's stay
- Monitoring arrivals and departures
- Ensuring guests receive the correct property and arrival information
- Handling guest complaints professionally and practically
- Supporting the team in maintaining excellent guest review scores
- Visiting properties when an issue requires someone on site
- Communicating effectively with guests when something doesn't go to plan
You'll be trusted to assess situations, make sensible decisions and find practical solutions rather than simply passing every issue on to somebody else.
Housekeeping & Property Preparation
Housekeeping and property presentation will form a significant part of the position.
You'll work with our housekeeping team, rather than simply managing them from a distance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside housekeepers during changeovers
- Cleaning and preparing properties when operationally required
- Carrying out pre-arrival property inspections
- Checking cleaning standards before guests arrive
- Ensuring linen, towels and amenities are correctly presented
- Checking and replenishing guest consumables
- Identifying anything that has been missed during a changeover
- Helping rectify housekeeping issues before check-in
- Monitoring stock and housekeeping supplies
- Supporting the housekeeping team during particularly busy periods
- Helping maintain consistent presentation standards across the portfolio
The priority is simple: the property needs to be ready for the guest.
If that occasionally means picking up a vacuum, making a bed or helping clean a property before check-in, you'll be expected to get involved alongside the rest of the team.
Property Operations
You'll also support the wider day-to-day operation of the portfolio, including:
- Regularly visiting properties
- Checking keys, lockboxes and access arrangements
- Completing property inspections
- Investigating issues reported by guests
- Identifying and reporting damage
- Checking properties following guest departures where required
- Supporting same-day arrivals and changeovers
- Communicating operational issues to the wider team
- Identifying maintenance problems and escalating them appropriately
This is not a maintenance management position.
You will not generally be responsible for sourcing contractors, managing repairs or overseeing the maintenance function. You will, however, be expected to recognise when something is wrong and report it quickly so the appropriate person can take action.
Who We're Looking For
More than anything, we're looking for someone with the right attitude.
You should be someone who notices the details, takes pride in presenting a property properly and doesn't walk past a problem because it technically belongs to somebody else.
You'll need to be:
- Highly organised and reliable
- Guest-focused and approachable
- Practical and proactive
- Comfortable working independently
- Comfortable carrying out physical housekeeping duties
- Confident communicating with guests
- Calm when dealing with problems
- Extremely attentive to cleanliness and presentation
- Comfortable using technology and online booking platforms
- Able to manage multiple priorities during busy changeover days
- Happy working independently and as part of a wider team
Previous experience within serviced accommodation, Airbnb, holiday lets, hotels, hospitality, housekeeping or property management would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
Due to the nature of the position, you must:
- Be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
- Be comfortable working 32 hours per week across four 8-hour shifts
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have access to your own vehicle
- Be comfortable travelling between properties during your shift
- Be physically able and willing to undertake housekeeping duties when required
The Package
- £15.00 per hour
