Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Staff/Supervisor to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, managing bar operations, and supervising staff to ensure smooth daily functioning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a thorough understanding of food safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment where teamwork and professionalism are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with company standards and customer preferences
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to health and safety regulations
Supervise and support bar staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Manage stock levels, place orders, and ensure proper rotation of products
Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible serving practices
Assist in organising special events or promotions within the venue
Monitor cash handling procedures and process transactions accurately

Experience

Proven experience in hospitality or bar service, ideally within a busy restaurant or pub environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high service standards
Competence in basic maths for cash handling and stock management
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
