Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained at all times. Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes.
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen environment.
Train staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and customer service standards.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold health and safety compliance.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Proficiency in cooking techniques across various cuisines and styles.
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety standards recognised by relevant authorities.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating leadership in a fast-paced setting.
