Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a meaningful impact on young athletes’ development. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to share their expertise while inspiring others through sport.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging football training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
Develop customised training programmes to improve technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
Foster a positive team environment that encourages sportsmanship, discipline, and mutual respect
Monitor players’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Organise and oversee matches, ensuring all activities adhere to safety standards and organisational policies
Promote fair play, inclusivity, and enjoyment of the game among all participants
Maintain equipment, ensure the training area is safe, organised, and well-prepared for each session

Experience

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in football or similar team sports
Demonstrated ability to teach skills effectively to diverse age groups and abilities
Previous experience working with youth or community sports programmes is desirable
Strong understanding of football tactics, rules, and safety procedures
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all levels
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected
