Accounts Assistant

Location: Norwich
Company: Alan Boswell Group

This role - Accounts Assistant - may be considered as apprenticeship scheme

About the Role

You will be working as part of the accounts team at our head office in Norwich. Supporting the finance department by managing day-to-day transactional accounting. Maintaining financial records, process invoices, handle expense claims, and perform bank reconciliations to ensure the company's financial operations run smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile Insurer statements & process payments

Processing, coding and reviewing Invoices.
Processing supplier payments.
Process clients’ payments.
Posting & reconciling customer receipts.
Completing bank reconciliations.
Working to deadlines.
Dealing with queries internal & externally.
Support the accounts team by managing day to day functions.
Processing expenses claims

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who has strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy but also brings a proactive and positive approach to their work.

What you’ll bring

A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Confident communication skills across all levels of the business.
Good IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Sage 200 (desirable).
Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Qualifications

GCSES in Maths & English grade 6 or above
