Full job description

LIVE-IN BAR SUPERVISOR – 30 HOURS PER WEEK

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and responsible Live-In Bar Supervisor to join our team at the Markets Tavern Hotel in Brecon.

This is a permanent live-in position offering 30 contracted working hours per week, with free accommodation provided in a private hotel room with an en-suite bathroom.

The successful applicant must live on site, as the position also includes agreed overnight on-call duties.

Main responsibilities:

Supervising the bar during scheduled shifts
Opening and closing the premises
Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
Supporting and supervising bar staff
Handling cash, card payments and closing procedures
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Following all licensing, fire-safety and health-and-safety procedures
Dealing professionally with customers and hotel guests
Providing overnight on-call assistance when required
Responding to fire-alarm activations and emergencies
Assisting hotel guests who become locked out or require urgent help overnight
Reporting all incidents and concerns to management

Applicants must:

Have previous bar and supervisory experience
Be willing and able to live permanently on site
Be reliable, trustworthy and comfortable working independently
Be available for agreed overnight on-call duties
Remain calm and responsible during emergencies
Have good communication and customer-service skills
Have the right to work in the UK

Pay: £12.71 per hour
