Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will assist dental practitioners in delivering high-quality dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining clinical standards. This paid position is ideal for those eager to progress in the field of dental nursing, whether starting their career or seeking further training.

Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient clinic operations.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for use.
Provide compassionate patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with practice protocols and data protection regulations.
Support infection control protocols by adhering to sterilisation and hygiene standards at all times.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications to ensure an organised workflow.
Develop your knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and IT systems used within the practice.
Foster effective communication with patients and team members to promote a positive clinical environment.

Requirements

A genuine interest in patient care and a commitment to developing as a dental professional.
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Basic understanding of nursing principles or relevant healthcare experience is preferred; training will be provided for Trainee Dental Nurses.
Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare settings for record-keeping and appointment management is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively within a team.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
A professional attitude with attention to detail, hygiene standards, and adherence to health & safety regulations.
