Full job description

Headlam, Europe’s largest floor covering distributor, has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join an inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time role comes with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of both the warehouse and transport teams. This is a hands-on leadership role, focusing on the execution of daily operations, ensuring a fast, efficient, and disruption-free service while maintaining high-quality customer interactions. The role is must ensure fast, efficient and customer centric operations while maintaining a safe and engaging work environment for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle on-the-ground problem-solving to minimise operational disruptions.
Lead, coach, and develop managers, warehouse operatives, transport staff, and supervisors to provide consistently excellent service to customers, minimize errors and handle delivery issues proactively
Ensure team engagement and motivation, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure that colleagues can engage in company initiatives such as the engagement survey, development, roadshows and employee forum
Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations, legislation and policy.
Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, manage disciplinary issues, and oversee training programs.
Monitor KPIs such as stock movement accuracy, delivery timelines, cost targets, and customer satisfaction for site.

You will have:

Transport Manager CPC
Minimum 7 years in warehouse and transport operations management.
Proven success in achieving operational KPIs and managing large teams in a logistics environment
