Working hours: As and when required

The role is within The Salvation Army, Isle of Wight Homelessness Service which provides personalised support for 63 people, supporting them on their individual journeys from homelessness to home.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of Relief Support Worker will provide client meetings, regular support plan and risk assessment reviews, and work with colleagues to deliver a range of in-house support provisions to empower clients to build their confidence and skills as they move towards independence.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients
An understanding of working in a psychologically informed way
The ability to take the lead and make decisions
Ability to work in busy environment, be solution focused, show good time management skills and can demonstrate ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure
Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in range of IT Packages including Microsoft
We are looking for someone who is Compassionate Respectful Listening Welcoming Supportive
