Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and hard-working processor’s to work within our busy seafood processing facility. The Processor role involves the safe, efficient, and hygienic processing of seafood products in accordance with strict quality, food safety, and customer standards. The position is responsible for handling, grading, weighing, and packing langoustines and scallops, while working as part of a team to meet daily production targets within a busy seafood processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality checks on seafood products to ensure they meet company and customer standards
Grade, weigh, mark, and pack seafood accurately and efficiently
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and contamination control procedures at all times
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the processing area
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets
Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or product issues promptly to a supervisor
Participate in training and development to improve skills and knowledge
Assist with routine and deep cleaning duties as required
Carry out other general factory duties as directed by the Production Management

Skills & Attributes

Good level of physical fitness
Comfortable working in cold environments
Reliable, punctual, and flexible
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Basic awareness of food hygiene and food safety standards
Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
Ability to travel reliably to the site in Amble, Northumberland

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Amble NE65 0PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
