Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Activities Director to join our team in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our assisted living and nursing home facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, particularly in dementia and Alzheimer's care, and will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being among our residents.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
Coordinate daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings.
Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages resident participation and socialisation.
Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for all residents, including those with mobility challenges.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continually improve the programme.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather input on future activities.
Provide training and support to caregiving staff on how to engage residents in meaningful activities.

Experience

Previous experience in an assisted living or nursing home setting is essential.
A background in senior care, particularly with dementia or Alzheimer's patients, is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Experience in caregiving within a care home environment is advantageous.
