Job Opportunity: Disabilities, Mental Health and Autism Commissioner (Warwickshire) – Disabilities and Mental Health Commissioning Team – 1 year fixed-term contract.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Disabilities, Mental Health and Autism Commissioner.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you’ll work closely with people who drawn on support, families, and stakeholders to truly understand need and aspirations. You’ll use engagement and co-production to design cohesive, impactful services that make a difference. Building strong relationships will be at the heart of your role—whether it’s with people who use our services, service providers, social care and support staff, health partners, or other local authorities.

You’ll have a range of responsibilities including oversight of community opportunities, short breaks and respite provision under the Working Age Adults (WAA) framework, ensuring services are responsive, high-quality, and sustainable.

Key Priorities are likely to include:

Use commissioning approaches and customer engagement to review current provision, identify future requirements, drive performance and implement evidence-based improvement.
Market Engagement - Foster meaningful communication and updates with the market to build relationships, align priorities and address gaps.
Issue Resolution - Collaborate with stakeholders to tackle challenges as they arise.

Key Requirements

A passion for engagement and coproduction, driving positive change and creating inclusive services.
A solid understanding of commissioning, service redesign, and strategic planning.
Experience in Social Care and / or Health,
Strong partnership working, project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
