Full job description

The Grove Dental Clinic is a well-established private dental and implant practice dedicated to providing exceptional dental care and an outstanding patient experience. The Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and organised Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our reception and administrative functions.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, is confident communicating with patients, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit professional team.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome patients warmly and provide a friendly, professional reception service.
Manage the reception area and ensure the smooth flow of patients throughout the practice.
Schedule and manage appointments accurately and efficiently.
Answer telephone calls, emails, and patient enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Liaise closely with dentists, nurses, and the wider practice team to support excellent patient care.
Process payments and assist with accurate billing and financial administration.
Manage patient correspondence and follow-ups.
Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, welcoming, and presented to a high standard.
Provide general administrative support to the practice as required.
Uphold the practice’s high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care at all times.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

Friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about providing excellent patient care.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident and professional when communicating with patients, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
Able to remain calm and organised while managing multiple priorities.
A reliable team player who enjoys working in a professional environment.
Comfortable using computer systems and practice management software.
Previous dental reception or healthcare experience is preferred but not essential; excellent customer service and administrative experience will also be considered.
