Techflow Marine provides a range of specialist products to the Offshore Oil & Gas and Marine industries. Our market focus is directed towards the prominent emergence and accelerated development of offshore reserves utilising FPSO/FSU units, whilst accommodating the requirements of conventional fixed platforms and jack-up rigs.

Our technically qualified team of Design and Project Engineers have extensive experience and knowledge of the design and supply of fluid transfer systems to the industry. Current range of products include FPSO/FSU Fluid Transfer Systems, Hose Handling Systems, Tandem Mooring Systems, Large Bore Flexible Hose Systems, Marine Coupling Systems and associated equipment. To complement these products, we can deliver complete integrated systems, incorporating advanced power, control and monitored systems.

Job Description (Overview):

Design and development of TFM equipment to suit specific project requirements.

Undertake and check mechanical design calculations as dictated by the project requirements, such as foundation loadings, structural integrity and lifting equipment sizing.

Plan, perform, monitor and control the day-to-day Design Office engineering tasks assigned for their allocated projects.

Ensure that the areas of works allocated are completed in accordance with the TFM Technical Specification, Client Specifications and Class Approval requirements, as dictated by the requirements of the project.

Complete allocated project tasks within agreed timescales, man-hour allocation, to the required technical accuracy and report on the same when required.

Assist in 3D modelling and drawing to support project requirements.

Responsibilities:

Technical

· Review and understand all relevant contract information and data from the Proposal Team.

· Review and comment to Line and/or Project Management on:

· Project Costing.

· Scope of Work.

· Project Schedule.

· Assist the Engineering Manager / Senior Design Engineer, in determining the required execution strategy of the project taking account of project schedule.

· Attend the project handover meeting and participate in a start-up meeting with the engineers assigned to the project from the Drawing Office and other engineering disciplines.

.Ensure the completeness and on-time delivery of the Design scope of supply (i.e. calculations and documents) according to Contract requirements, Project requirements and all Engineering Office procedures and standards. This can apply to both new and existing products.

.Monitor progress of allocated project activities within the Design Office scope of supply from a quality and time schedule point of view.

· Initiate, implement and control corrective actions within the Design Office and report any schedule / cost / technical deviations.

· Ensure feedback / lessons learnt from the project is communicated to the relevant Engineering parties or other disciplines within the organisation.

· Participate actively in design reviews. Ensure that any allocated actions defined by the reviews are performed in a controlled manner, closed on time and regularly report on the status of the open action items.

· Provide any pertinent construction information to the Project Engineer for inclusion in the Operation, Installation & Maintenance manuals and, on request, review and comment of the same.

· Provide any pertinent input to the Quality Engineer for the preparation of the project-specific Inspection and Test Plans.

· Assist with the preparation of any other engineering deliverable as is required to support other function.

. Organise proper filing and archiving of all project relevant Design Office documentation on project closure, according to the applicable requirements of ISO 9001 and Engineering Office procedures.

Required External Qualifications/Training/Skills:

Training

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship would be beneficial

Academic

HNC Engineering Discipline (or equivalent).

Experience

Previous experience with offshore equipment would be advantageous
Experience of hydraulic systems including system design calculations, installation, etc. would be advantageous

Skills

Effective technical skills, including a good working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCad and Mathcad
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Be able to technically represent their discipline in a multi-disciplined team.
Be able to effectively plan and control their own workload as dictated by project requirements.
Be self-motivated and proactive in progressing the Engineering deliverables required for their projects.
Be willing to adapt to change.

General

· Work together with your colleagues to ensure company objectives are achieved.

· Comply with TFM Business Management System (BMS) and contribute to it’s continual improvement and effectiveness.

· Report any HSE risks/incidents in order to promote the health and safe well-being of yourself and others.

Pay: £30,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
