Full job description

ichiban UK is a privately owned sushi manufacturer producing own label and branded sushi for the UK market .

The QA is required to work with the Technical and Production teams to ensure our high quality standards are adhered to at all times to maintain our product integrity, safety & quality.

Training rate of pay is £15.65 per hour, rising to £16.36 per hour upon successful completion of all training.

Shift pattern is a rotating 2 week pattern: Week 1 - Thursday to Saturday 18:00- 06:00 and Week 2: Wednesday to Saturday 18:00- 06:00.

The role will involve:

identifying non-conformances against the agreed standards, specifications and or procedures and take appropriate action.
verifying that critical points are under control.
carrying out GMP inspections, audits etc.
understanding and assisting in maintaining the Company HACCP system including verification of operative adherence to CCPs.
completing all appropriate paperwork accurately and on time.
observing all company quality standards and procedures
carrying out tasks deemed as necessary by the QA/Technical Manager related to the department.

The applicant will need a good level of English and Numeracy.

Previous food industry experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
