Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising medication supplies
Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in accordance with data protection regulations
Educate patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects as directed by pharmacists
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and pharmacy management systems
A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or related field is desirable but not essential
