We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising medication supplies
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in accordance with data protection regulations
- Educate patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects as directed by pharmacists
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and pharmacy management systems
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or related field is desirable but not essential
