Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food preparation and hospitality. As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and team management while maintaining a safe and organised kitchen environment.

A bonus may l be awarded based on attaining the KPIs

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage deli staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure product availability.
Train new employees in food handling techniques, customer service, and kitchen operations.
Develop and implement promotional strategies to enhance deli sales and customer satisfaction.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, adhering to hygiene standards.
Assist with cooking duties during peak hours or as required.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain a positive shopping experience.

Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or culinary environment is essential.
Strong background in food preparation and kitchen management is preferred.
Experience in team management, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
Knowledge of hospitality practices and customer service excellence is highly desirable.
