About DCS Group

We work with some of the world’s best-known brands, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Kenvue, supporting customers across Retail, Wholesale, Pharmacy, E-commerce and Export channels.

We’re now looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our Sales & Distribution team and help turn data and shopper insight into clear commercial opportunities for our customers and brand partners.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you’ll use category, shopper and customer data to identify opportunities for growth and influence commercial decision-making.

You’ll work closely with retail and wholesale partners, becoming a trusted category advisor and using insight to shape ranging, space, promotions and new product development.

This role would suit someone with around 2+ years’ Category Management experience who is ready to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted category partner.
Deliver regular category and performance reviews, identifying key opportunities and risks.
Analyse customer, market and shopper data to provide clear commercial recommendations.
Support customers with range and space optimisation.
Identify distribution and rate-of-sale opportunities.
Provide insight and recommendations around promotions and NPD.
Develop and communicate clear category strategies and category visions.
Turn complex data into compelling stories and actionable recommendations.
Support the wider business in making better use of category data and insight.
Work collaboratively across Sales, Commercial and wider business teams to deliver growth.

About You

You’ll be commercially minded, analytical and confident presenting insight to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have:

2+ years’ experience within FMCG Category Management.
Experience within Household, Health or Beauty would be advantageous.
Strong analytical and storytelling skills.
Confidence turning data into clear recommendations and commercial actions.
Experience working with data sources such as Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, Circana or Sales Out data.
Strong customer-facing and relationship-management skills.
A proactive, results-focused approach.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
