As a result of internal development within our team, we are looking to recruit an additional member of our Veterinary Client Support Team at our Mullacott branch.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, delivering a professional, friendly and efficient service while managing enquiries and requests. They will use practice management software to maintain accurate records, follow company procedures and ensure all enquiries are progressed promptly and effectively, delivering an excellent customer experience throughout.
Duties
- Provide an efficient and professional first point of contact on the telephone for our clients
- Accurate message taking, recording with clear information or instructions that follow organisation protocols
- Effective booking, coordinating and prioritising of Vet appointments and their visits on system diary in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Taking routine and emergency appointment bookings and dealing with queries efficiently and professionally in a timely way. Be proactive in meeting client needs to a high standard
- Accurate booking out and dispensing of veterinary medicines and supplies in line with dispensing protocols
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of the company’s services and products and provide clients with the correct information regarding these.
- Promote the image of our company both positively and professionally to clients, colleagues and the public
- Ensure that all reception areas are kept clinically clean and tidy
- Accurate registering of new clients and their animals
- Take payments and allocate correctly to client accounts
- Work supportively with other teams/departments for the good of the business.
- Work independently, using initiative as well as working as part of a team.
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not essential
- General Farm and Equine experience would be beneficial
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks is crucial
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are required.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of work

Hours
- 17 hours per week, plus participation in a 1 in 6 Saturday rota.
- Hours will be worked over 2 weekdays - Tuesdays and Fridays between 8am to 5.30pm, 9am to 6.30pm or 8.30am to 6.00pm (rota dependent).
Location
- This role will be primarily based at our Mullacott practice, with the opportunity to work additional hours across other practices to cover staff absence.
Pay
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71 per hour
