Full job description

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us here at Octavius, working in our Regional Civil Engineering business unit.

In this role, you'll manage projects assigned to us through the Somerset Council New Asset Framework, and Traffic Signal Infrastructure Framework.

Leading customer-focused project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high-quality, timely project delivery.
Fostering strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes.
Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes.
Driving financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability.
Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
Mentoring and developing team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes.

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)

Commercial awareness, and good level of programming and contract knowledge. Familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience.
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
