Full job description

Key responsibilities as Production Operative:

Building and assembling specialist cable assemblies and wiring looms, electrical and optical.
Soldering, crimping, stripping, and terminating cables to a high standard
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions
Carrying out quality inspections throughout the build process to ensure every product meets exact specifications
Maintaining a clean, organised workspace while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Production Operator should be able to:

· Produce optical and electrical cable harnesses, as well as using mechanical skills.

· Confident using hand tools and working on precision assemblies.

· Follow AVoptics internal production processes/ work instructions.

· Able to read and build to internal and customer drawings.

· Meet IPC guidelines for (electrical) standards of work, where required (training can be provided).

· Able to solder, crimp terminals, perform optical terminations and wire harness.

· Use various items of equipment and tooling.

· Responsible for own husbandry of tools and organisation of workspace.

· A continuous improvement mindset which relentlessly seeks ways to improve the process and product within controlled change methodology.
