We insure small businesses and enable big dreams – not just for our customers, but for our people and communities too. With over 1,000,000 active insurance policies, we protect builders, bakers, landlords and more than 1,200 other trades.
We’re a technology company as well as one that sells insurance. That means we build, we fail, we learn and we improve. Through our global social impact strategy, called 'The Big Dreams Project’, we're working to help 10,000 small businesses start or grow by 2030.

Here's what you'll be doing:
Welcome to a product role where you have the genuine space to drive real impact. As our Insurance Product Manager based in London or Northampton (with hybrid flexibility), you’ll take ownership of the optimisation roadmap for our high-impact Lifestyle product super-segment. You won't just be executing static tasks; you’ll bring data-led ideas to the table, validate them, and drive them forward to hit our in-year optimisation targets.
What makes this role special? You get hands-on segment ownership while acting as the Insurance Product lead across key cross-collaborative projects. While our SME Senior Product Manager sets the overarching strategy, you will proactively lead segment initiatives—bringing ideas forward, keeping stakeholders aligned, and bringing the Senior Product Manager into key decision points along the way. We need a self-starter who can navigate trade-offs, collaborate effectively with digital and insurer partners, and keep delivery moving forward with purpose and resilience.
Own the optimisation roadmap for the Lifestyle segment, validating, developing, and delivering data-led initiatives that hit key customer metrics and our in-year budget.
Interrogate weekly trading data and conversion funnels to understand performance, providing clear insights into the 'what' and 'why' behind segment metrics.
Lead from an Insurance Product perspective on cross-collaborative initiatives, partnering with Digital Product and technical teams to deliver joint strategic outcomes.
Input into customer discovery and journey mapping led by our UX and Technical Product teams.
Support governance frameworks and manage segment-specific incidents, ensuring we resolve issues quickly and deliver great outcomes for our customers.
Partner closely with the SME Senior Product Manager and Insurer Relations teams to analyse partner performance, challenge panel appetite, and broaden our footprint.
An insurance industry expert with a solid background in general insurance, clear product mechanics knowledge, and ideally experience with SME coverages like PL and EL.
Data and trading-minded, someone who enjoys diving into numbers, interrogating conversion funnels, and using insights to spot performance improvements.
A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of segment goals, drives initiatives with energy, and knows how to effectively manage up on key decision points.
A strong cross-functional collaborator who excels at working alongside technical, UX, and insurer teams to provide clear Insurance Product input.
A skilled communicator and negotiator, comfortable holding their ground, managing trade-offs, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
Customer and governance-focused, caring deeply about doing the right thing for small business customers and handling incidents with diligence.
(We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the bullet points above to be considered for this role.)
We encourage people of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, supportive place for you to be you and do your very best work.
If you're excited by the intersection of smart product design, data science, and scalable tech, this is your place to build. You'll get to leverage rich trading insights, test hypotheses in real-time, and ship meaningful optimisations that power the tech engine behind small business insurance. Ready to take ownership of our Lifestyle segment and use data to spark clever improvements? Apply today.
