Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to provide support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities & autism in a residential setting. The role involves fostering a safe, nurturing environment while promoting independence and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those in your care, ensuring their needs are met with respect and professionalism. The role is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality care within a team-oriented environment. All training & qualifications that are required, have to be completed.

Duties

Offer personalised support to residents, assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration where appropriate.
Foster a safe and welcoming environment by maintaining a clean, organised, and secure living space for residents.
Encourage social engagement and participation in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
Monitor residents’ health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly.
Support residents in developing life skills to enhance their independence.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any relevant observations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to coordinate care plans effectively.

Experience

Previous experience working in a care or support environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overnight as required.
Basic understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations within a residential setting.
A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals and enhancing their quality of life.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
