Job Summary

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding our premises, assets, and personnel. You will be the first line of defense, ensuring a safe and secure environment through vigilant surveillance, proactive loss prevention, and prompt response to incidents. Your energetic presence and keen attention to detail will help maintain order, deter theft, and uphold safety standards across our facilities. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a secure workplace while developing your skills in security operations.

Duties

Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to ensure safety and security.
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing for theft or vandalism and intervening appropriately to prevent incidents.
Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by assessing the situation and coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by verifying identities and guiding them through security procedures.
Provide first aid assistance when needed, following established protocols to support injured individuals until professional help arrives.

Requirements

Proven ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems with attention to detail.
Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security best practices.
Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
Basic knowledge of first aid procedures and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
Good communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining focus on security duties.
