We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Director Business Services

Aims of Job/Job Purpose

To oversee the delivery and development of a range of employer and community responsive provision with a focus on apprenticeship quality and compliance. To ensure the curriculum meets local, regional and national skills needs and ensure provision is of high quality to support residents enter and progress within work.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Support the Executive Director and take a leading role within the Business Services team and contribute to the development, management and delivery of Apprenticeships.

Support the Executive Director in maximising opportunities around funding.

Ensure effective quality assurance and improvement arrangements and constantly seek to identify and adopt best practice approaches.

Work in collaboration with curriculum and to ensure provision is in line with local, regional and national skills needs.

Directly line-manage the Assistant Directors and Heads of School within the division and support the development of the team in all aspects of these areas.

Supporting the Assistant Director, ensuring that the teams deliver excellent, consistent services in line with the College’s strategic vision.

Represent the College at various external groups with a wide variety of stakeholders

Help and support the development of new systems and technology to enhance the service delivery

Ensure that analysis of learner and employer feedback is undertaken to identify levels of satisfaction and impact

Support the continued achievement and maintenance of appropriate quality standards and accreditation

Assist with staff development across the college

Be responsible for the development and implementation of data quality assurance procedures and checks

Develop and monitor appropriate service standards and ensure compliance with both legal requirements and the demands of best practice across areas of responsibility

Deputise for the Executive Director when necessary

Flexible approach to work and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends

Undertaking any duties commensurate with the post
