Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team and drive our procurement processes forward. In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the seamless flow of materials essential for our operations. Your expertise in ERP systems and supply chain management will be instrumental in optimizing procurement strategies, reducing costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization’s growth by ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement solutions.

Duties

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to secure quality goods and services efficiently.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS), including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier onboarding.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, minimizing delays and disruptions.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations, addressing issues proactively to sustain high standards.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide tailored solutions that support operational efficiency.

Skills

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS), with a strong understanding of procurement modules.
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and pricing.
Strong knowledge of logistics management and supply chain principles to optimize inventory levels and delivery schedules.
Experience working within complex supply chain environments, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to analyze market trends and leverage data for strategic sourcing decisions.
Familiarity with procurement best practices, compliance standards, and risk management strategies.
