Full job description

The Lunch Club Volunteer plays a vital role in providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment for members of the local community during lunchtime gatherings. These clubs typically serve older adults, vulnerable individuals, or those seeking social interaction and a nutritious meal. Volunteers assist with food preparation, serving, clean up, and creating a friendly atmosphere for attendees.

Role Responsibilities:

To support a lunch club at community venues, providing a social gathering where individuals can enjoy lunch with others.
Preparing room to and following lunch clubs use at the venue.
Taking lunch orders and recording from a set menu.
Assisting to plate/serve meals and refreshments (teas/coffees).
Assist in ensuring all areas are cleaned to meet Food Hygiene Regulations.
Commit to two hours per week.
Undertake appropriate training to the role.
